Established in Osaka.

1950
Commodity Exchange Act was enacted.
 
1952 July
The Tokyo Sugar Exchange (TSE) was established trading refined sugar and raw sugar futures contracts.
 
1952 October
The Tokyo Grain Exchange (TGE) began trading azuki (red beans), domestic soybeans and potato starch futures.
 
1960
1962 July
Soybean imports were liberalized.
1971 January
Acquired authorization as Futures Commission Merchant at participating exchanges from the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Minister of International Economy Trade and Industry.
 
 
1973 April
Began marketing gold bullion upon liberalization of regulations governing gold and gold article imports.

1972 October
The name "US" Soybean futures were changed to "Imported" Soybean futures, which standard grade was non-screened Chinese soybeans.
1982 March
Began trading gold futures on commission upon establishment of the Tokyo Gold Exchange(presently known as the Tokyo Commodity Exchange).

Launched on-line trading system at all offices.

Released the first commodity fund in Japan (NI partners fund)

Central Japan Commodity Exchange was established to trade agricultural products (imported soybeans and red beans) etc.

Aluminum futures were launched on TOCOM
 
1998 Ocotober
The Yokohama Commodity Exchange was established , following the merger of the Yokohama Raw Silk Exchange and the Maebashi Dried Cocoon Exchange.
 
1998 May
Kanmon Commodity Exchange changed its name Fukuoka Futures Exchange.
 
1998 July
